Contingency fee
The attorney fee is a percentage of the recovery, agreed in writing before work starts. If there’s no recovery, you owe no attorney fee.

Your settlement statement
Before any money is paid out, you receive a written statement showing the total recovery and every deduction.
Ask anything. If a number on your statement doesn’t make sense, ask before you sign.
